Kip was born Oct. 14, 1954, in Belding, on his father’s birthday. Kip was loyal, kind, generous and fun-loving. He loved family and friends, fishing, being a professional truck driver and New York City. He loved every minute of his unique, free-spirited lifestyle, his adventures of white water rafting, ski diving, sightseeing around the country and flying as Tony’s co-pilot. He enjoyed the company of his lifelong friends, Bob Martin and Dan Pettengill. Kip kept thinking that he would find something wonderful just around the next bend and he always did. Kip was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Jacob; nephew, Gabriel J. Stahlin, and stepbrother, Nicholas C. Clark. Kip is survived by his mother, Patricia Lee Clark of Belding; wife, Elizabeth L. Clark of Tennessee; brothers and sister and their spouses, Patrick and Myphuong Clark of Las Vegas, Arthur J. Jr. and Carol Clark of Stanton, Tempiedell and Edward Stahlin of Dexter; step-brother and stepsister, William A. Clark of Texas, Millie Berdan of Long Beach, Calif.; nephew (more like a brother) and best friend, Anthony J. and his girlfriend, Josefina Espiritu; another friend (also like a brother), Paul N. Wright of Grand Rapids; nieces and nephews, Abbie Lee and Michael Gentry and their children Caleb and Milo, Shannon C. and Angela Stahlin, Damon J. Stahlin, Trevor J. and Marisa and their children Cortne J. and Gentri J. In keeping with his wishes, no visitation or service will take place. Following cremation, inurnment is in Old Belding Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Alvah N. Belding Library or the American Diabetes Association.
