Sept. 25, 2012 Paula Kay Clark, 59, of Ionia, passed away in the early morning hours on Monday, Sept. 17 at Spectrum Health, Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids following a battle with cancer. She was born on Feb. 19, 1953 in Ionia, daughter of Lawrence Ernest and Beverly Ann (Welch) Clark, both of whom preceded her in death. She attended Ionia area schools and worked for several years as an In Home Caregiver through the Helping Hands program, and also worked at Herbruck Farms as well. Paula was a great fan of B.I.N.G.O., and she loved to play scratch-off lottery tickets and to take color tour rides in the fall. Most of all, she loved her family and dear friends. Paula leaves to cherish her memory, children, Melissa Canizales of Belding, Jason (Kristin) Clark of Ionia, Keri (Jose Roque) Geldersma of Orleans and Nicole (Joaquin) Martinez of Belding; grandchildren, Ashley, Kristen, Trenton, Cameron, Connor, Savannah, Adrein, Sierra, Tyson and Dalia, Aleksandr, Jonathan, Nathaniel, Cassandra, TeoDora, Salma and Marco; great grandchildren Jerica, Noah and Eli; sisters, Lori (Ken) Gustason and Sandy Olyer, both of Ionia; and several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends including special life-long friends Jan Babcock, Laurie Bowerman, Debbie Clark, Carolyn Fox and Linda Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Tribble, and a nephew, Jamie Olyer. Cremation has taken place and Paula's family is planning an Memorial Service to be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 6 at Ionia Moose Lodge.
