She was born on Oct. 23, 1981, in Greenville, Mich., the daughter of Tony and Gerianne (Gross) Clark. She graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1999. She was active in several sports while in high school including volleyball, softball and basketball. Connie then completed an Associate's Degree in nursing at Montcalm Community College. She worked for several years in nursing home care and had a special gift for working with Alzheimer's patients. For the last couple of years, she had focused her talents in home health care services working for Maxim Home Health Care. Connie enjoyed many outdoor activities and loved anything to do with water and water sports. She had a great sense of humor, enjoyed playing cards and loved spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered as a person who had no enemies, laughed often and had a great smile. Connie leaves to cherish her memory her loving parents, Tony and Gerianne Clark, of Gowen; a brother, Jacob Clark of Belding; grandparents Kay Jeppesen of Belding and Jerome and Phyllis Gross of Stanton; several aunts and uncles; many cousins and dear friends; and her pet and faithful companion, Jazz. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Jeppesen. Visitation will take place at Verdun Family Funeral Home, 303 S. Bridge St., Belding, on Friday from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Belding, with Fr. Darrel Kempf officiating. Committal Prayers will take place following the service at McBride Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are welcome to consider a memorial contribution in Connie's memory to The "B" Fund, a local organization committed to assisting individuals and families affected by cancer.
