Clark, a pioneer of Odessa township died at his home in Lake Odessa this morning. He leaves a wife, four sons and one daughter, and a host of friends and neighbors to mourn his lost. He came to Odessa 50 years ago at the age of 22 years, where he reared a family of five children, all of whom are living Leroy Clark is living in South Dakota, Mrs. Della Roberts, his only daughter, lives in Charlotte, Frank W. Clark and Seth E. Clark live in Lake Odessa, and Geo W. Clark lives at Odessa Center. Mr. Clark was born in New York, and moved with his parents when but a small boy to Hancock county, Ohio, and came on foot to Michigan when the whole township was a wilderness and for two years chopped on his farm winters and went back to Ohio and worked through the summer, making the trip each way on foot 200 miles in four days. That was his allotted time to make the trip. At its birth he united his soul and body with the republican party and has yet kept the faith to the last monument.
