Sentinel-Standard - Monday, Feb. 23, 1948

Mrs. Anna Clark, 79 of Saranac died suddenly at her home Friday evening 
shortly before midnight, only four days after the death of her husband.

Prayer services were conducted at the Morris funeral home Monday afternoon 
at 1 o'clock. At 2:30 p.m. Monday the funeral services were held in 
Whitneyville Methodist church.

She was born March 31, 1869, in Kirk, Ill., and has been a resident of 
Saranac for seven years. Her daughter, Mrs. John McGivern, of Detroit, who 
had come for her father's funeral was visiting her mother at the time of her 
death. 

Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. McGivern of Detroit, Mrs. Ross 
Barnes of Ypsilanti and Mrs. Wilbur Whittenbach of Lowell; ten 
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Albert Agard of 
Hefford Junction, Wis.
