Sentinel-Standard - Thursday, Jan. 19, 1922

Mrs. Mary E. Clark passed away at the home of her son Arthur on Saturday 
morning following several weeks of poor health. Mrs. Clark was 88 years of 
age and one of the earliest pioneers of this section. For a great many years 
Mr. and Mrs. Clark conducted a grocery store here which later years has been 
under the supervision of their son. She leaves to mourn her loss a son 
Arthur, grandson Fred, of Geneva, N. Y., and two sisters of Albuquerque, N. 
M. The funeral services were held from the home on Monday afternoon with 
Rev. L. C. Frost officiating, with burial taking place in Saranac cemetery. 

G. F. Faude, of Ionia, was in town Monday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Mary 
Clark.
