          BERNARD CLARK JR., 64
   Bernard C. "Bernie" Clark Jr., 64, of Ionia, passed away Oct. 28, 2017.  He was
born Jan. 10, 1953, in Grand Rapids, the son of Bernard C. and Ethel (Jensen) Clark Sr.  
He married Ellen Mier September 9, 1972 in Ionia. 
    Bernie served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a Sergeant.  He was a
member of the Clarksville Bible Church.  Bernie loved to Hunt, Fish and Coach Little 
League Baseball.  He was well known as a great Joke Teller. 
   Surviving are his loving wife of 45 years Ellen Clark of Ionia, Sons; Thomas
(Kara) Clark of Grand Haven, David (Sara) Clark of Ionia and James (Nicole) Clark of 
Johnson City, Tenn.; grandchildren; Austyn, Ryleigh, Alexia, Wyatt, Dakota, Elyanna 
and Barrett.  Brothers Claude (Kathy) Clark of Ionia, Edward (Judy) Clark of Ionia and 
Ernest (Nancy) Clark of Orleans.  Sister Helen Thelen of Lyons.
   Bernie was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Virginia Magee.
   Cremation has taken place and there will be memorial services scheduled for
Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 11 a.m. at the Clarksville Bible Church with Pastor Tim Bateman 
officiating.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.  
Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Greater Ionia Youth League.  Arrangements
