Born June 6, 1931 to Newton & Elsie (Harper) Clark in Lansing,MI. Bill proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After service, went to work at Motor Wheel, retired as a Superintendent. Bill was also a master of stained Glass & a "Jack of all trades". He had a love for adventure & travel, particularly enjoyed his time at the cottage in Tennessee. He was an avid Sports fan, a fondness for boxing & football. Bill had a quick wit & a great sense of humor. He was know as a dedicated workaholic, with a strong sense of commitment to whatever task he took on. His greatest pride & joy was his children & grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; wife,Helen (Hengesbach) Clark; children, Brenda Clark & Steven Clark; grandson, Lee Martin; brothers, Larry,Robert & Herbert Clark; sisters, Sharon Armstrong, Hazel Pratt & Patricia Batchelder & brother-in-law, Jim Bollinger. Survived by his children; Cathy Clark, Sharon(Jim) Hall, Laurie (Ken) Martin, tom(stacey) Clark, mark (Julia)Clark; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Russell Clark, BettyMonroe, Mary Lynn Bollinger, Phyllis (Jim) Rollinson, & Dennis Clark; brother-in-law, John Batchelder; & life-long best friend, Marie Schafer. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Mike Alber at `11:00 a.m.. Thursday, November 21, 2024 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Portland, MI. Rite of Committal will follow in Portland Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E.Bridge Street, Portland on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. witht he rosary being prayed at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Those wishing may make memorial contributions yo St.Jude's Children's Hospital in honor of BIll.
