Clark, of Poltney, Stuben county, New York, was born March 12, 1850 and departed this life July 31, 1924 at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 19 days. She was united in marriage to William E. Clark, on August 17, 1868, who preceded her in death. To this union eight children were born, six sons and two daughters, five of whom are living; Walter Clark, of Cedar Lake; Frank Clark, of Belding; Mrs. Nellie Porter, of Rockford; Edward Clark, of Evart, and Harry Clark, of Grand Rapids, also eight grand children. She also leaves to mourn their loss a sister, Mrs. Julia Clark of Grand Rapids and a brother, Frank Andrews, of New York, and a host of friends. Her tragical death came as a great shock to the community. Funeral services were held in Belding and from here she was taken to Grand Rapids where she was laid to rest near her husband.
