The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Monday, January 13, 1913
The funeral for Mrs. Hattie J. Clark was held Saturday morning at 10 o’clock 
from the home of her sister, Mrs. John Gardner.  The deceased led a quiet 
Christian life, was a member o the M. E. church for many years.  There were 
many beautiful floral offerings to show the love and respect in which she was 
held.  

Those from out of the city were Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Clark, Chicago, Mr. and 
Mrs. G. M. Clark, East Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Clark, Lansing, William 
Heathorn, Lansing, Mrs. John Firster of Flint, Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Tillison of 
Zeeland, Mrs. Thomas Willsie of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Chas. Connel of Grand 
Rapids.  The singing was by Mrs. Spencer and Mrs. Fred  …..  Rev. Dr. Callen 
of the M. E. church officiated.  Internment was in Oak Hill cemetery.
