The Hastings Banner, Thursday, December 26, 1968
Services for Clayton Clark, 77, of Lake Odessa, who died Wednesday night were 
held Saturday at the Pickens Chapel, Lake Odessa.  Rev. Marvin Zimmerman 
officiated with interment in Lakeside Cemetery.  Mr. Clark died at Pennock 
Hospital about five hours after admittance.

He was born in Odessa Township, Ionia County, June 6, 1891, son of George and 
Belle Downer Clark and farmed in the Lake Odessa area for a number of years.  
Mr. Clark married Reva Augst on March 29, 1929; and they moved to Hastings in 
1941 where he was employed by the Hastings Mfg. Co.  They returned to Lake 
Odessa three years ago following his retirement.

Surviving are two sons, Richard of Hastings and Gerald of Woodland; a 
daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Ruth) Huhn of Portland; 12 grandchildren; three great 
grandchildren; a brother, Gilbert , of Lansing and three sisters, Mrs. Zoa 
Sinclair of Needmore, Mrs. Charles (Linnet) Kimmel of Lake Odessa and Mrs. 
Nettie Haskel of Lansing.
