She attempted to cross the track while a mixed train was slowly moving. The conductor called to her and she stepped back; but instead of waiting until the train had passed, she took hold of the truss rod of a flat car and attempted to swing herself under the car and across the track. Her body was drawn under the wheels, which passed over and crushed her. She was picked up and carried home, but died on the way. The remains will be taken to Carson City for burial.
