Fred R. Clark died at 5:30 Monday afternoon, Feb. 16, at his home in Saranac.  
He was 76 years old and had been ill for many years.

Mr. Clark was born March 19, 1871, in Manston, Iowa, and had lived inSaranac 
for seven years.  He was found dead in his chair at homr by his wife.  Coroner 
Dale Kauffman was called.

Surviving are his widow, Anna, one son, Marion Clark, of Alto, three 
daughters, Mrs. John McGivern of Detroit, Mrs. Ross Barnes, of Ypsilanti, and 
Mrs. Wilbur Whittenbach of Lowell, ten grandchildren, three great-
grandchildren, and one brother, Charles Clark, of St. Louis, Mo.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, Feb. 19, at the Whitneyville 
Methodist church with interment in Whitneyville.
