He was born March 13, 1932 in Ionia, the son of Kenneth and Alice (Westerbrook) Claycomb. He married Vivian Reusser October 2, 1953 at the First Methodist Church in Ionia. He was a veteran of the Navy and served in the Cuba Blockade and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the V.F.W. of Sheridan. Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Vivian Claycomb of Ionia; son Ronald and Linda Claycomb of Ionia; daughters Dawn and Donald Martines of Muskegon and Connie and Paul Nash of Saranac; brothers Ronald and Barbara Claycomb of Ionia, Gerald Claycomb of Grand Rapids and Denny Claycomb of Hastings; sisters Shirley and Joe Fedewa of Greenville and Barbara and Rolland Uppeno of Oregon; grandchildren Bryant, Tom and Tina Claycomb , Erin and Evan Peierce and Mellisa and Kimmy Martines, and Jared Nash, and great grandchild Brenden Claycomb. He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Ted and Richard. Private services for the family will be held at a later date.
