Richard H. Clayton, 68, of Belding, passed away Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, at
Spectrum Health United Memorial United Campus, Greenville.  He was born Feb. 28,
1936, in Cedar Springs, to Elvin W. and Lela A. Rentsman Clayton.

Richard graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1954 and retired
from Gibson’s after many years of service.  He was a member of the American
Bowling Congress and had bowled many years in the Belding area.

He was preceded by his father in 1978 and his mother in 2003.  Richard is
survived by his children, Craig Clayton of Ionia, Stacy Clayton of Kent City,
Rhonda Evenhouse of Lawton, Cindy Bloomquist of Kalamazoo; stepson, Todd Hummel
of Kentucky; eight grandchildren; and brothers and their spouses, Gary and
Eileen Clayton of Belding, Jack and Dianne Clayton of Palo.

Memorial services are 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home,
Belding, with Pastor Ken Harger of Shiloh Community Church officiating.  There
will be no visitation.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given
to the American Cancer Society.
