DALE E. CLAYTON 1960-2016
Dale Edward Clayton, age 55., of Saranac, passed away on Saturday night, March 19,
at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, following a six-week battle
with cancer. He was born in Belding, on Oct. 25, 1960, the son of Kenneth James and
Mildred (Hale) Clayton.

Dale attended Saranac Schools and worked in several capacities during his lifetime,
including most recently more than 10 years with Stahlin Enclosures as a CNC
Operator. 

Dale was a straight-shooter, so you always know where you stood with him,  He took
his work seriously and took his fun seriously as well. While he never had children of
his own, there are a number of kids he considered as good as his own. He enjoyed to cook, 
watching Red Wings Hockey and spending time at parties with his family and friends.

Dale is survived by his dear mother, Mildred Yoder of Rockford; siblings Kevin
(Tonya) Clayton of Ionia and Diana Wilson of Saranac; nieces and nephews Terisa Clayton,
Kimberly (Ben) Carew, Kenneth Clayton, Kaylee Clayton, Jacob Clayton, Raven (Sarita) Perez,
Josh Johnson, Hadlie Clayton, Kristin McQueen, RJ McQueen, Ashley Clayton, Michael
(Vanity) Clayton, Justin (Jessica) Clayton, Emily Wilson and Amya Jesiek; and many, many
aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Clayton and a nephew, Kevin
Clayton.

Visitation hours will take place on Wednesday, March 23, from 2 to 5 p.m. which will
conclude with a brief prayer by Pastor William Overton, at Verdun family Funeral
Home and Cremation services, 303 S. Bridge St., Belding.

A luncheon will follow at Family Life center Church of God. The family will also
host a Life Celebration gathering on Saturday, March 26, at 2 p.m.
