Clem, 75, of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus, Grand Rapids. Cecelia was born May 22, 1931, in Hart, to Ed and Lily Green Purdy. She was raised in the Hart area and graduated from Ludington High School with the class of 1948. On Dec. 15, 1950, in Smyrna, Cecelia married Walter L. Clem, the love of her life for more than 55 years. Her many hobbies included collecting cows, clowns and she liked farm animals. Cecelia was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clarence and Bill; and sister, Grace. Cecelia is survived by her husband, Walter; two sons, and daughter-in-law, Michael Clem of White Cloud, Ronald and Grace Clem of Pierson; two daughters and son-in-law, Cheryl and Bob Norwood of Pullman, Sheryl Clem of Belding; seven grandchildren, Aaron, Ryan and Melissa Clem, Darren and Chris Housclaw, Katreena and Sammy Marsh; eight great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law Charles and Laura Purdy of White Cloud; and two sisters and brother-in-law Pam Holmes of Holland, Neva and Nick Nichols of Cedar Springs. Funeral services are 3 p.m. Saturday at Brigham Funeral Chapel, Six Lakes, with Pastor Eugene Kooi officiating. Burial is in Entrican Hillside Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
