She was born Dec. 25, 1915 in Lowell to Dr. Frederick and Ethel Marker. She spend most of her childhood years in Ionia and graduated from Ionia High School. Her first job was at the Saranac Creamery as a bookkeeper. It was there she met Clair Clemens, who she married in May of 1938. She spent many years as a seamstress and retired from the Chrysler-Lyons Trim Plant upon its closing. She is survived by a sister, Sarah Hatadis of Marathon, Fla.; her son Fred (Audrey) Clemens; grandchildren Kelli (Brian) Corner of Greenville, Jodi (Steve) Swain of Ionia, Clint (Kris) Clemens of Ionia and Chad (Nicki) Clemens of Fenwick and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Clair, a daughter Mary Louise and grandson William (Bill) Dever. Her wishes for cremation and no ceremonies will be carried out by the family, and interment will be at the Saranac Cemetery with her husband. Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home of Ionia.
