Belding Banner, 30 Jul 1896

Mrs. Elizabeth Beals Clemens died at the residence of her son, J. E. Clemens,
Sunday.  She was born in Ashfield, Mass., May 7th, 1829 and at the age of 22
years was married to John S. Clemens who still survives her, of four children
born to them only one is living. J.E. Clemens.  In 1861 they moved to
Northampton, Mass., where they resided until coming to Belding in 1891.  She
united with the Baptist church at the age of 18 years and has lived a christian
life.  The services over her remains were held at the house, Tuesday, Rev. W.L.
Munger officiating.
