CLEMENS Claud P. Clemens, 60, of Route one, Woodland, passed away early Tuesday morning at Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids where he was hospitalized three weeks but had been in ill health about a year. He was born May 5, 1915 in Kalamazoo, Eaton County, the son of Ray and Mertie (Diamond) Clemens and had attended the Dowling schools. Mr. Clemens has been employed at the White Manufacturing Company at Middleville and for the last 20 years was employed by John Poortenga on his farms. Surviving are a daughter Anna of Hastings, two sons, Daniel of Battle Creek and Steven of Hastings, two step-children, Edwin Truesdell of Hastings and Mrs. Larry (Patricia) McClurkin of Hastings, five grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Leo (Doreen) Wilson of Rodney, a brother Merl of Lake Odessa and his stepmother, Mrs. Anna Belle Clemens of rural Freeport. Mr. Clemens reposes at the Pickens-Koops funeral Chapel at Lake Odessa. Funeral services will be held Thursday (today) at 1:30 p.m. with burial in Lakeside Cemetery. Rev.
