CLEMENS DIED SUDDENLY SATURDAY Otto J. Clemens, 64, died unexpectedly at his home at Birch Lake near Elk Rapids, Saturday night from a heart attack. He was a pioneer member and director of the West Michigan Tourist and Resort association. He also was one of the founders of the Five-County association in the Grand Traverse region. A former resident of Lake Odessa and Grand Rapids, he had operated Clem's Cabin camp at Elk Lake, which he sold about three years ago and since the had operated Clem's cottages at Birch Lake. He was a member of the F.&A.M., DeWitt Clinton Consistory and Saladin Temple, Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, in Grand Rapids. He won the grand championship and numerous awards in the recent beard-growing contest at the Traverse City centennial celebration. Survingin are the widow, the former Dora Mutschler, and a sister Mrs. V. A. Straight at Big Rapids.
