                               FREDERICK CLEMENS

STANTON -Frederick Wayne Clemens age 75 of Stanton,MI passed away peacefully at 
home on June 2, 2022. He was born on March 27, 1947 in Ionia,MI the son of Clair 
and Frances (Marker) Clemens.Fred married Audrey Waite on September 21, 1985. 
She  passed away September 2, 2015.

Fred was a proud veteran of the Army and served in Vietnam. He returned from the 
war and used those skills at the State of Michigan for 28 years as a Captain in 
the Corrections department. During his retirement from Riverside, Fred enjoyed 
woodworking and traveling. His home is filled with original projects he created 
and family members have man unique gifts to remember him by. He and Audrey loved 
to go on motor home trips and cruises that allowed them to discover new people 
and places for many years together. One of their favorite places was the state 
of Texas with it warmth and beauty. He loved his beautiful home and all the 
nature that surrounded it.There were albums of pictures he took to capture the 
beauty of all he saw. He was known for a quiet voice and a quick wit. When you 
listened closely, you were always treated to a funny observation or satirical 
comment.

Surviving is his children Kelli (Brian) Corner of Illinois, Jodi (Steve) Swain 
of Ionia, Clint (Kris) Clemens of Ionia and Chad (Nicke) Clemens of Fenwick; 
many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Genevieve Troup of 
Grand Rapids, Joyce & Roger Sage of Greenville, Tom and Jan Moon of North 
Carolina and Caroline Sinclair of Fenwick.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Audrey, sister,Mary Louise Clemens 
and son William Dever.

A Celebration of Life will be h eld at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Sunday, 
June 5th from 10-12 and 2-4. Online condolences may be made at
