Mrs. Angeline Clemens, 86, died Tuesday night, December 7, at 11:15, at the 
Sunset Acres Convalescent Home, near Hastings, where she had been a resident 
for about four months.  She was born September 28, 1868, in Campbell township, 
Ionia county, the daughter of Daniel and Mary (Knickerbacher) Filkins, and had 
lived for several years in the village before selling her home five years ago 
to live with her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J. Howard Curtis at Lansing.  Her 
husband, Amos, died in 1938.

Surviving, besides the daughter are a son, Ray of Woodland; six grandchildren; 
nine great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Friday afternoon at 1:30 at the Pickens Funeral 
Chapel, with burial in Lakeside cemetery.  Rev. Bernard Jurgeson officiated.
