The Belding Banner-News, Thursday, October 20, 1927

L. J. Clemons, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Clemons, was born in Grattan in the 
year of 1903.  He spent his boyhood days attending the country schools.  In 
1917 he moved to Belding with his parents where he attended the city school.  
He spent some time working in the silk mills, also for the American Railway 
Express Co.  Five years ago he went to Detroit and was employed in the Ford 
Motor Co. at Highland Park, Mich.  October 23, 1926 he was married to Miss 
Bessie Krumm, of Detroit.  They spent their few happy months together at 12134 
Lincoln Ave., Highland Park, Mich.  The last six months of his young life he 
was employed in the Detroit Creamery Co., Detroit, Mich.
