The discourse was by the Rev. W. H. Macpherson of the Presbyterian church. Deceased was aged 67 years, less a few days. She was born in Cayuga county, New York; she came to Michigan almost immediately after her marriage in 1856, and has resided in this state continuously since. She was sick only a week, and even on the day of her death was thought to be growing stronger, but on Sunday, with but very short notice, the light of her life went out. Mrs. Cleveland spent some years in Ionia before her removal to Union City, but did not become widely acquainted. She was peculiarly a home body.
