Ivan Clevenger, 70, formerly of Stanton, went to be with his Savior Jesus 
Christ on Sunday, July 6, 2003 at Metron of Greenville.  He was born June 28, 
1933 in Stanton, the son of Clarence and Tressie Buskirk Clevenger.

He married Edith Drake on December 22, 1956.  He retired from General Tire of 
Ionia after 37  years of service.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his 
wife, Edith Lorraine Drake Clevenger, on December 11, 2000; two sisters, 
Dorothy and Lois, and brother, Nile.

He is survived by his daughter, Dawn L. Clevenger and fiancé Gordon Seaman and 
granddaughters Janie and Bailey; son Scott and Tammy Clevenger and 
granddaughters Brandi and Ashley; brothers, Dale and Joyce Clevenger, Rolland 
and Doris Clevenger; sister-in-law, Betty Clevenger; many sisters-in-law and 
brothers-in-law; and nieces and nephews.

He will be greatly missed by his family, his “Metron family,” and all who knew 
and loved him.  A special thanks to Metron of Greenville and Hospice of 
Michigan for their extra TLC and kindness during Dad’s stay there.  

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Church of God, Edmore, with 
Pastor Rolla Timmons officiating.  Interment is in Forest Hill Cemetery, 
Stanton.  Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Stebbins-
McCullough Chapel, Edmore.
