Mrs. Phylis E. Clifford, 74, of Ionia, formerly of Orleans passed away Sunday, 
Aug. 12, 2001 at the Heartlands Health Care Center.  She was born the daughter 
of Robert and Erma Morgan on March 30, 1927 in Carson City.

Phylis was a member of the Blue Star Mothers in Belding.  She married Raymond 
Clifford on Sept. 1, 1945 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 1986.

Surviving are one daugher, two sons; six grandchildren; five great-
grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; two sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, son, Harry; daughter, 
Sharon; great granddaughter, Christina and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday Aug. 15 at the Cook Funeral 
Home, Ionia with Rev. Kenneth Harger from Shiloh Community Church 
officiating.  Interment in Palo Cemetery.
