IONIA - Raymond Clifford, 63, 3558 Ostrum Road, Orleans, died Thursday, 
December 18, 1986, at Ionia County Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 27, 1923, in Ronald Township, Ionia County, to Harry and 
Minnie Knight Clifford.

Mr. Clifford retired April 1985 from Ionia County Road Commission after 33 
years employment.  He was a member of Teamsters Union #406.

On Sept. 1, 1945, he married the former Phylis Morgan.  She survives.

Also surviving are a daughter; two sons; an uncle, Elisa Clifford, Palo; four 
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Harry Jay; a daughter, Sharon Sue; his 
parents; a sister, Lilah and a brother, Lloyd.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the Rich Street Chapel of Montgomery 
Funeral Home, Ionia. The Rev. Kenneth Harger will officiate. Interment is in 
Palo Cemetery.
