Mrs. Ida May Clifford, 72, died at 6:15 pm Wednesday at the home of her sister, 
Mrs. Brooks Stahlin, 420 West Main Street, Belding.  She has been an arthritis 
victim for many years.

Mrs. Clifford was born in Orleans township June 11, 1875, the daughter of 
Millimon and Amy Clifford.  In 1900 she married John Clifford in Windsor, Ont., 
who died in July, 1929.  She had lived in Belding for only two years going there 
from Palo.  She was a member of the Woodard Lake Baptist church and a former 
member of the Banner Grange.  

She leaves seven sisters, Mrs. Adaline Baumgart, Mrs. Ella Snyder, Mrs. Eva Rose 
and Mrs. Christina Taylor, all of Lansing.  Mrs. Hattie Lees and Mrs. Minnie 
Stahlin of Belding and Mrs. Clara Harrington of Ionia; and two brothers, George 
Clifford of Traverse City and Arthur Clifford of Orleans.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 6, at 2 o'clock from the Ellis 
funeral home with the Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating.  Interment will be in Higbee 
cemetery near Ionia.
