Ionia Sentinel Standard, 27 Feb 1971

Mrs. Katherine M. Clifford, 49, of 777 Cyrus died at Blodgett Memorial hospital
in Grand Rapids Friday evening following an extended illness.  She had been
hospitalized eight weeks.

Born in Rose township, Oakland county, January 10, 1922, she was the daughter of
Allen and Grace Esler Parker.  She lived in the Holly and Fenton area attending
Rose Center grade school and graduating from Holly high school.  After
graduation she made her home with her parents until marrying Lyle Clifford,
October 28, 1944, in Rose township.  They made their home on a farm near Holly
until moving to Ionia in 1953.

Besides her husband, Lyle, she leaves two sons, Richard and Harold at home;
three daughters, Jane and Corrine at home and Mary Ellen Clifford of Ionia; one
brother, Stuart Parker of Fenton.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Leddick funeral home.  Rev. Charles
Fullmer of First United Methodist church will officiate and interment will be at
Tuttle cemetery.
