He was born in Ionia November 22, 1866, the son of William and Elizabeth Clifford. He married Miss Addie Barlett January 23, 1891, and she died January 12, 1921. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Hazel Soss of Greenville, Mrs. Amy Cutler of Shelby, Mrs. Jeffeiers of Chicago and Mrs. Ada Salsgiver of Sand Lake; 22 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. ------------ Services for Walter W. Clifford, 83, were conducted Monday afternoon from the Stone-Kauffman funeral home by the Rev. Wayne Davis. Interment was in Highland Park cemetery. Bearers were Orval Clifford and Otis, Maurice, Robert, Everett and Basil Linderman. Mrs. Clifford died at the Roush Convalescent home Friday at 10:20 p.m. after a lengthy illness. He was born Nov. 22, 1966, in Ionia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Clifford. When he was seven he moved to Montcalm county and later became a farmer there. He lived there until he returned to Ionia 27 years ago to work in local factories. Jan. 23, 1891, he married Addie Bartlett who died in 1921. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Hazel Soss of Greenville, Mrs. Amy Cutler of Shelby, Mrs. Ada Jeffries of Chicago and Mrs. Aida Salsgiver of Sand Lake.
