Wave, Thurs. April 23, 1959 EDITH CLINE DIED SUNDAY Mrs. Edith M. Cline, 47, route 2, Clarksville, passed away Sunday at the Osteopathic hospital, Grand Rapids, where she had been a patient for nine days. She had been in ill health for several years and had been hospitalized intermittently. Mrs. Cline, a native of the Sunfield area, was a graduate of Sunfield high school and attended County Normal at Ionia, teaching a rural school near Orleans for one year after her marriage to Richard R. Cline, they resided at Lake Odessa for twelve years before moving to their farm in the Pleasant Valley district, four years ago. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley United Brethren church. Surviving are her husband; one daughter Evelyn at home; two sons; Richard Jr. with the U.S. Army in Warburg, Germany and Paul at home; her father, Ray Petrie of Sunfield; two sisters, Mrs. Eugene (Ruth) Doolittle of Mulliken and Mrs. Jerene (Charlotte) Collier of Lake Odessa, and a brother, Ernest Petrie of Farmington. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 at the Pickens funeral chapel with burial in the Clarksville cemetery. Rev. M.M. Ovenshire officiated.
