Richard Lee Clinkscales



Lansing:

Born June 16th, 1961 in New Haven, Connecticut, son of Robert Louis and Carrie 
Lee (Hollenback) Clinkscales, died Monday, October 3, 2011, at the young age of 
50 after a courageous battle against cancer.



Rich was a dedicated Comcast employyee for 23 years. He loved to golf and was a 
loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and MSU Spartans. He also loved both Indy and 
NASCAR racing and was fond of all things Star Trek.



Surviving is his loving wife, Natalie “Tasha” (Bean) Clinkscales, whom he 
married on October 12, 1991; their precious children, Sarah, Robyn, and Ryan; 
his mother, Carrie Clinkscales; two brothers, Bradford (Belinda) Clinkscales 
and R. Michael (Thomas) Clinkscales-Theis; brothers-in-law, Michael Bean, 
Andrew (Juli) Bean, Alexander (Cecelia) Bean, Matthew Bean; nieces and nephews, 
Carrie (John), Robert, Payne, Reggie, Sasha, Kara, Nikki, Taylor, Austin, 
Sheena, Derek; aunts, Roberta (Garry) Brickley, Carol (Stan) Thelen, Jamie 
(Bruce) Priser; uncle, Daryl (JoSnne) Hollenback; along with many cousins.  
Rich was preceded in death by his father, Robert Louis Clinkscales, Jr. in 
1970; aunt Georgianna Perkins; uncles, Richard Hollenback and Bobbie Hollenback.



Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Estes-Leadley 
Greater Lansing Chapel. Interment was in Danby Cemetery. Memorial contributions 
may be made to The Richard L. Clinkscales Children’s Scholarship Fund, c/o 
Michigan State University Federal Credit Union, 3777 West Rd., East Lansing, 
48826.
