(Although somewhat confusing, this paragraph was transcribed correctly.) She was the daughter of U. E. and Debora Miller and was born in August, 1968. She was united in marriage with James Clock and to this union was born one daughter, Jessie, who became the wife of Geo. Whitmore. Mrs. Clock was highly respected, a good mother and a faithful sister and friend. Her sister, Mrs. Nellie McGowan, of Fenwick has spent much of her time with her for several years. They were the last members of a family of six children. Mrs. Clock was an active member of the East Bushnell Aid Society for many years and was for a time its president. She was still an honor member at the time of her death. She is survived by the daughter, Mrs. Whitmore, with whom she lived since the death of her husband; a step-daughter, Mrs. Ella Herrick; the sister, Mrs. McGowan; a step-granddaughter, Mrs. Mabelle Carpenter; two sisters-in-law; a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be at the house this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o’clock, conducted by Rev. Cornelius, of Lakeview. The body will be placed in the mausoleum at Belding. Subsequent Publication: Thursday, May 18, 1939 The funeral services held for Mrs. Dora Clock were very largely attended and the floral offerings were many and beautiful and spoke of sympathy and hope. Among those from away were: Dr. and Mrs. M. C. Loree of Lansing, V. F. Upton, Mrs. Ella Herrick and Mrs. Mabelle Carpenter of Lyons, Mr. and Mrs. John Whitmore of Shepard, Mr. and Mrs. Wyckoff of Greenville, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Young of Day and Mrs. Mida Smith of Crystal.
