At two years of age she moved with her parents to Wheatland Township, Hillsdale Co., Michigan, where she remained eleven years. In 1854 she came to Bloomer Township and resided with her parents until her marriage with Joseph L. Clock, September 26, 1851. Since that time she has resided at their pioneer home in Bushnell Township. Mrs. Clock was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. During her later years she was a great sufferer and throughout her last sickness was very patient, reconciled to the will of God, dying in the triumphs of living faith. She leaves to mourn their loss a daughter, Mrs. Dora May Loree of Vickeryville, a son, Alfred L., of Alberta, Canada, two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Smith of Bellaire, Mich. and Mrs. Martha Birdsall of Riverdale, the grandchildren and a host of friends. Rev. Geo. Brown officiated at the funeral and she was laid to rest by the side of her husband who preceded her seven years ago. The son was unable to be here on account of delay of the message sent him. Those who came from away were Mrs. Caroline Smith and daughter, Mrs. Estella Ash of Bellaire, Mr. and Mr. S. W. Birdsall and Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Birdsall of Riverdale, Mrs. Cornelia Cady of Detroit, Dr. Maurice Loree of Akron, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. George Chatman and son of Greenville, Mrs. James Frost and Mrs. Ada Frost of Fenwick and Mrs. Orlando Smith and daughter Jennie of Carson City. Additional Comments: Carson City Gazette - November 30, 1920 Mrs. Rachel Clock passed away at her home here on Wednesday of last week after a long and painful illness. The funeral was held at the home on Tuesday of this week. Interment at Palo.
