The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, December 10, 1930
Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza Close, 87, of Stanton, were conducted 
Tuesday.  Interment took place in Greenville cemetery.  Mrs. Close was a 
native of New York, coming to Michigan when a small child.  Her girlhood years 
were lived in Hillsdale and later she went to the vicinity of Lincoln lake and 
then to Greenville, having taught school in both places.  Three years ago she 
went to Stanton live.

Her husband has been dead a great many years.  She leaves two daughters, Mrs. 
J. E. Adams of Ionia, and Mrs. Harold Adams of Stanton, and a son, Carl Close 
of Stanton.
