Ionia Sentinel Standard, 14 Feb 2007

Marian “Mia” Grace Cloud (Shinaver), 18, of Saranac, passed away on Saturday, 
February 10, 2007.  She was born on November 29, 1988 the daughter of Pauline 
Holton (Shinaver).

She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and a member of the Big 
Brother and Big Sister Program.  Marian attended Ionia High School, Portland 
High School, and was currently taking classes at Saranac High School.  She 
enjoyed running track at Portland High School, working with computers, writing 
in her diary, and listening to music.  She also enjoyed spending time with 
animals.

Marian is preceded in death by her grandparents Gerald Vincent Shinaver and 
Reva Hoppes Shinaver Bell, and brother Steven Holton.  She is survived by her 
mother Pauline Holton (Shinaver), siblings Aaron Holton, Ashley Holton, Jacinta 
Holton, Trisha K. Holton, and McKenzie Holton, god-mother Joy Cardeanas, and 
several aunts and uncles.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Melvin Fox at 1 p.m. on 
Thursday, February 15, 2007 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ionia.
