Clum, 85, of 8462 West Tupper Lake Road, Lake Odessa, died Saturday at his residence. Born Jan. 28, 1903, in Saranac, he was the son of Lewis and Christina Summ Clum. He attended Darby rural school and was married to Dorothy Darby May 23, 1928, in Woodland. They lived and farmed in the Woodland and Lake Odessa area. He retired in 1970. He was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church and served his church as deacon, on the missionary board, and as a Sunday school teacher. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Marjorie) McMillan of Houghton Lake; a son, Voight Clum of Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter in law, Bernice Clum of Lake Odessa; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a sister, Arvella Balton of Hastings. A son, Victor, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Lakewood Baptist Church, Lake Odessa, with the Rev. Ralph VanderWerf officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. A memorial, in care of Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa, has been established for Baptist Missions of North America.
