The Ionia Daily Sentinel, Monday, November 9, 1942
Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Coates, 80, who died Thursday morning at her 
home at 705 Lafayette street after a serious illness or more than five weeks, 
were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Myers funeral home.  Rev. 
George Woolcock of the First Baptist church officiated and burial was in 
Highland Park cemetery.  Pallbearers were grandsons and were William Contes, 
Kenneth Beckhorn, Robert Beckhorn and Harold Beckhorn.  Mrs. H. H. Darling was 
in charge of floral arrangements.  Members of the CCW class of the First 
Baptist church attended the services in a body.
