Cobb Takes life With Shotgun in Field Near His Home Despondency over ill health is believed to have been the reason for Morrie S. Cobb, 54, [The obituary card has a note that he was 45 years old.] prominent Ronald township farmer, taking his life last Friday afternoon by shooting himself in the head. His body was found by neighbors, Herbert Greenhoe and John Chase, in some tall weeds near a fence at the rear of the farm. It was four years ago that the mill at Nickleplate, in which he was a part owner with John Rowe, burned. Since that time Mr. Cobb is reported to have suffered from the effects. He took much interest in his work when the mill was in operation and after the fire grew somewhat wearisome at the conflagration. Following the fire he purchased the Herbert Greenhoe farm of 50 acres in Ronald township and had lived there until the time of the suicide. The farm has been a prosperous one and is now rich in crops. Mr. Cobb was not a man to complain a great deal and it is believed his health had been bothering him more than anyone realized, causing him to take his life. The funeral was held last Sunday . . .
