Saranac- Allen K. Cobb, 60, died suddenly Saturday afternoon, October 21, at 
the home of his daughter, Mrs. Olive Simmons, of Battle Creek.

He was born in Saranac May 2, 1890, and worked in restaurants in Saranac and 
Battle Creek. He was employed for many years in the former Arthur Baxter 
restaurant in Ionia. Twelve years ago he moved to Rudyard where he resided 
until September, when he returned to Saranac to visit his mother. Only a 
short time ago he went to Battle Creek to visit his daughter and planned to 
make his home in that city.

Surviving are the wife, Jennie, of Battle Creek; a daughter, Mrs. Olive 
Simmons, of Battle Creek; a son, George of Lowell; his mother, Mrs. Mary L. 
Cobb of Saranac; and a brother, George, postmaster at Saranac.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Morris funeral 
home with interment in Saranac cemetery. The Rev. Glen McCarty assisted by 
the Rev. E. H. Humphrey will officiate.
