Ionia Sentinel, 21 Aug 1946

Mrs. Marietta Coe, 86, died Tuesday, August 20, at 4 p.m. in the Ionia County 
memorial hospital where she had been a patient for nine weeks following a fall 
at her home in which she suffered a fractured hip.

She was born April 13, 1860 in Ada, and moved to Orange township at the age of 
three.  In 1904, she moved to Ionia where she had lived at her home at 210 
North Jefferson street until her death.  She was born the daughter of William 
E. and Mary Elizabeth Hydorn.  She was married to Judson E. Coe, January 1, 
1889 in Orange township, and was a life member of the Presbyterian church.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Victor Schramm of Pontiac, one grandson, Victor 
Schramm of Pontiac, one granddaughter, Mrs. William St. Jean of Ionia, and a 
great-granddaughter, Mary Lynne St. Jean of Ionia.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Meyers 
funeral home.  The Rev. H. A. Simpson will officiate at the burial in the 
family lot at Balcom cemetery.
