Ionia Sentinel Standard, 22 Jan 1991

Artis F. Coe, 65, of Ionia died Jan. 21 at her home.  She was born on Nov. 19, 
1925, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Merle E. and Mary A. Melvin Rusnell.

She was graduated from Ionia High School in 1944 and was a life-long resident 
of the Ionia area.  She worked for 23 years at the Larry Coe Accounting Service 
in Ionia, retiring in 1988.  She was a member of the First Christian Church 
joining the church on March 26, 1961.  She taught Sunday school for many years.

Surviving are her husband, Gaylord; four sons, Gary W. of Holt, James A. of 
Ionia, Edward J. of Redford and David L. of Ionia; seven grandchildren; two 
sisters, Arla Lesky of Ionia and Avis White of Belleville; five brothers, Dale 
Rusnell of Anchorage, Alaska, Karl Rusnell of Ionia, Kenneth Rusnell of 
Portland, Benjamin Rusnell of Ionia and Gerald Rusnell of Pinckney; and her 
step-mother, Harriet Rusnell of Ionia.  She was preceded in death by her 
daughter, Linda Newman in Sept. of 1976.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the First Christian 
Church in Ionia with the Rev. F. Michael Valentine officiating.  Burial will be 
at the Balcolm Cemetery.  The family will be at Cook Funeral Home in Ionia at 
2-4 p.m. and 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.  Memorials have been established for the 
Ionia Area Hospice or the First Christian Church Memorial Fund.
