Ionia Standard, 8 Jan 1915

Mrs. Susan R. Coe, notice of whose accidental fall was noted in the Standard a 
week ago, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Arnold, 517 West 
Washington St., at 9:30 o’clock on Monday night.  Deceased was aged 87 years, 
and survived many of the older of the real pioneers of Ionia county, of which 
she was such an highly esteemed member.  The husband, long years gone before, 
was active in the early days as a riding preacher of the gospel.  She came here 
from New York state 62 years ago.

The children who survive her are: Mrs. Salem Dunham, Mrs. Henry Gee/Coe? and 
Mrs. Fred Arnold, all of Ionia, and Mrs. Abe Bush of Grand Rapids.

Funeral from the home where she died, on Wednesday at 2 p.m., with burial in 
Oak Hill.
