Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 1 Aug 1957

Saranac – Luman W. Cogswell, 76, died August 1 at Blodgett hospital in Grand
Rapids where he had been a patient for the past two weeks.  He was born June 24,
1881.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Miles Hooper of Saranac; one son, Harold
Cogswell of Holt, and a granddaughter, Mrs. Jack Karelse of Woodard lake.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Morris
funeral home in Saranac with the Rev. Donald Walker officiating.  Interment will
be in Lowell cemetery.

[Transcriber’s note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was
buried in Oakwood Cemetery.]
