Beckie Lynn Cogswell, 59, of Sidney, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at Spectrum
Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.  She was born Sept. 29, 1955, of
Ionia, the daughter of Fred and Helen (Millard) Kirby.  On July 1, 1972, she
married Dennis V. Cogswell.

Beckie worked at the D.L. Petersen General Store in Sidney for many years.  She
was a longtime Sidney resident, and was very friendly and outgoing to everybody
she met.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed,
especially by her husband of 42 years, Dennis; children, Kristie (Ron) Taylor,
Jerry (Lisa) Cogswell, and Mary (Ryan) Thompson, grandchildren, Kelsey, Owen,
Luke, Evan, and Eleanor; great-grandchild, Ciel; brothers, Robert (Yoko) Ward
and William (Diann) Ward; sister, Robin (Gerald) Kiste; and many nieces,
nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville,
Pastor Dennis Ross of Nevins Lake Church officiating.,  Visitation will be from
6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
