The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, January 18, 1936
Funeral services for John S. Colbath, 56, who died at the St. Lawrence 
hospital in Lansing, Tuesday, January 14 were held Friday morning in Lansing 
at 10 o’clock and Friday afternoon at the Stone funeral home in Ionia at 2 
o’clock with Rev. Paul L. Stewart officiating, and interment at the Highland 
Park cemetery.

Bearers for the services were Oscar Pierce, Leslie Pierce, Claude Griswold and 
Guy Dolphin.

Among those attending from away were George R. Colbath, of Alma; Mrs. Emma 
Dolphin, Guy Dolphin, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Griswold of Battle Creek, and four 
members of the Reo office force of Lansing where Mr. Colbath was employed for 
twenty years, Frank Bromley, K. J. Puffer, Chester Drank and Guy Martin.
