Mrs. Colburn was born in Williamston, Vermont, November 23, 1829. Her maiden name was Orpha Dickinson and when 23 years of age she was married to Mr. Colburn who died many years ago. In 1863 they came to Portland where she had since resided. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Frank Adams, also one sister, Mrs. Hattie Kent of Lakeport, New York. She is the grandmother of Mrs. Wright Wakley and Mrs. Howard Lowry.
