Carol L. Cole, 61, of Smyrna, passed away Tuesday evening, July 19, 2005, at St.
Mary Health Center, Grand Rapids.  Carol was born March 10, 1944, in Sheridan,
the daughter of Walter and Doris Steele Peterman.  During her working years she
was employed at Frigidaire in Greenville.  She was a longtime member of the
Smyrna Social Club.  Carol was married Sept. 27, 1963, in Belding, to Thurland
Cole Sr.

She is survived by her husband, Thurland Cole Sr.; children, Laura Cole of Muir,
Thurland Cole Jr. of Belding, Dan Cole of Smyrna; five grandchildren; one
great-grandchild; and sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Ed Petersen of
Stanton.

A memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home,
Belding, with Pastor Darwyn Hassert officiating.  In keeping with her wishes,
cremation has taken place.  Inurnment is in Smyrna Cemetery.  Memorial
contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
