His death was attributed to pneumonia which followed a lingering illness. Mr. Cole was born in New York, May 16, 1854, and for many years before retiring was a general store owner at Bellevue, Mich. He was married to Mrs. Carrie Callahan Bonnette in 1929. He and Mrs. Cole resided in Belding at the Leo Tower home for several winters. Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Johnson-Layman Funeral Home in Bellevue. Burial also was made at Bellevue. Surviving besides Mrs. Cole are the three step-daughters, Mrs. Pifer, Mrs. George Richer of Flint and Mrs. Tower of Belding; a step-son, Glenn Bonnette of Marion; one grandchild, nine step-grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. The Towers left early this morning to attend the services.
